Expressing my inner Happy Trails...

It has taken me a while to really give this kit the time it deserved but I sure did have fun when I finally sat down to create with it! This month I was focused on projects...

I made a great simple little set of inspirational greeting cards.

...complete with a little band to hold them all together. You know the holidays are coming around and I have to have some premade card sets for gifts laying around. Such a time saver!

Next I decided I'd make a little notebook.

It turned out pretty cute too. I stitched on it as well but I used white thread on this one and I bound it at the top with a length of the ball trim. Since I needed it to be flat, I trimmed off the balls and used it more as a ribbon. Thankfully my kit had plenty of this trim so I can use it in all its glory on other projects! Speaking of other projects, I hope to create a few more so check back!!

Now you know I'm more of a project girl. But I've been participating in some challenges lately that have me going outside my comfort zone a bit. These two pages are a product of that. The page above was made with no pictures so it forced me to journal, which I don't do very well.

For this page, I scrapped about my biggest influence...my sweet husband.

So I challange you...step outside your comfort zone and scrap something you wouldn't normally scrap or use a different format than you are used to. Do it. It's fun!

Now don't despair...I'll be back with some projects soon!!

I cetainly felt lucky when I opened up this month's Masters Kit.

Lucky Star is filled with amazing bright patterned papers by BoBunny and even matching chipboard! Speaking of chipboard, there is a full alpha set of chipboard too! I got busy with my kit as soon as I got it. I got so busy I almost forgot to post the pic of the kit! LOL! I can't wait to share my projects as well as the ones from the Masters Team too!

More County Fair scrappies to share...
I made this sweet little banner from the supplies in the kit and some pages in a vintage children's story book. These pictures were just too cute to not do something wonderful with!

Next I scrapped a couple of pages too!

Try mixing your patters and do some paper pieceing! It was so fun!

I even scrapped a page with pictures of the rocket we made earlier this month with the kit!

Such a fun kit this month!

The Colors of the County Fair

A couple months ago I had an idea to make a color folder for Z's colors...
And then when the County Fair kit came along, I knew it would be perfect for this project!

So I got to work on it!

Just fold your 12 X 12 paper in the folder shape (based on the hight of your colors). Then free hand cut the scalloped edge along the top flap.

Place a couple of the colors down in the folder slot and mark where you want your stitching to be, giving yourself a lot of room to play with. Stitch the slots for the colors. Then trim the striped paper to fit over the bottom half of the stiched area (the area that whos when the folder is closed.

Then just decorate the outside cover flap with the word "colors" or your child's name and that's it. Just a fun, quick project your kids will love!

Having a BLAST with the County Fair...

Just a quick little project to use some of those scraps from your County Fair kit....
a ROCKET SHIP!!
This was a quick little project I did with my little guy to pass the time this summer afternoon.

We gathered some simple supplies...

Toilet paper roll

Large rectangle of patterned paper

Large circle of patterned paper

Three patterened paper triangles (two going one way and one going the opposite)

Three matching triangles cut out of chipboard

Misc. embelishments

Scissors

Tape

I had all the items pre cut and had the double sided tape applied and ready to go. Three year olds don't have much patience for these things;)

First we wrapped the rectangle paper around the roll and secured with tape.

Then I applied the patterened paper triangles to the chipboard triangles and cut slits in them. Next you just slip the roll in the slits to form the stand.

Cut a slit up the side of the circle to the center.

Then fold the circle into itself to make a cone and secure with tape.

Then secure the top on with glue dots or tape.

And presto! Time for a blast off!!

He had a blast!!

This smiling face was the only thanks I needed!

And here is proof! A friend of mine recently started a organization business and she has totally inspired me to orgainze my life. This is the result...
So another mini was in order! I used more of the Little Miss Sunshine kit to make a gift card/receipt organizer!

For the gift card section I trimmed down a few baseball card sheet protectors

Then for the receipts section I used a couple 12X12 photo sheet protectors (the one that is devided to hold four 4X6 photos) and carefully cut them down. You can also use these sections for stamps, photos or anything really.

Then I just bound it all with my handy Bind It All machine! Did I mention I love that thing?

So while I was on a roll...I kept organizing. I thought I would gather up all my take out menus and make a cute little central place the keep them all.

Again I turned to sheet protectors. I have a ton of 12X12 sheet protectors and I don't even scrap 12X12!

For the pages, I took those 12X12 sheet protectors and cut them in half to make them 12X6 and zig zag stitched them up the cut side.

Then attached them to the cover with binder rings. Easy! So when you gonna make yours?

If you are like me you get this a lot...so how do you deal?
With a handy meal planner! I made this one with the Little Miss Sunshine kit. I recently purchased a camping journal from a fellow scrapper and etsy artist named Brandy Seitz. Brandy's shop totally inspired me to make this meal planner.

I used some cooking themed American Crafts stamps from my scrappy stash to carry the theme and some black American Crafts Thickers but all the papers and other letter stickers are from the kit. It's a great example of how you can change the entire feel of a kit just by using the stamps from your stash. And we all could use a good excuse to bust out those stamps!!

The inside pages are wonderful! I found them online while hunting for templates to organize my life! LOL! You can find the free download for them at www.theprojectgirl.com .

Mother's Day!!

Ahhh yes, Mother's Day. Well my cousin came to me and asked me to make a card for her mom.
She wanted one where she could add a picture of her and my aunt when she was little and then one of them together now. So I made this card with a space to add the childhood pic on the front.

Then when you open it up there is a little pocket made with the mini brown paper bags from last month's kit and a small journing card where she can list the reason why she is a great mom! And her mom loved it! This idea can work for many occassions. I'll have to whip up more of this kind of card in the future!

Here are a few projects I did with this month's kit. This is an accordion wreath I did for my front door. I was going for a fun, vintage vibe.

Then a few cards perfect for father's day or for a special birthday...

I also made a great little card set

...complete with my signature "band"

It's like I don't feel like they are a set unless they are "banded"! LOL!

And finally, a cute little mini cork board. Just used a border punch on some of the card stock and made the border then cut out designs from the stickers and used glue dots to adhere the buttons onto push pins and add a little ribbon to the back and you are done. QUICK!

I'm even working on some layouts too!

Finally got a chance to play around with the rest of my kit!!
How wonderful are those Tattered Angels chipboard sheets? I loved mine! The one above was misted with the Smooch mist over one of the Heidi Swapp letter circles then I rubbed a brown ink pad over the raised part of the chipboard. Then I just bound it on my Bind it all machine and it makes a dramatic memo pad!

This one was made into a chalk board with chalk board paint I had leftover from another project. Then I accented the raised areas with copper paint.

And now for the rest of my layouts...

At first I was at a loss of what to do with the Sepia Accents by Ranger, then I tried them on the Heidi Swapp chipboard letters...

Oh My! I was in love!

It's dimentional and glossy and wonderful!

I wanted to personalize this page and make it a little more edgy for my cool kat kiddo...so I put a scrap of Hambly spiderweb overlay from my stash over the heart pattern paper that came in the kit. That totally did the trick!

And one last, simple layout...

More of the Sepia Accented chipboard letters and I cut out words from the patterened paper to provide my "journaling".

AND I just got my latest kit and more WOW action going on there! Wait till you see!!! I'll post VERY soon about that!!

This month has been a little crazy around our house but I did manage to do a couple of pages with this kit. A few more projects to come!

I did a lot of cutting on these to make the papers part of the embelishments.

And misting with the wonderful yellowish gold smooch spray! Loved using the Heidi Swapp chipboard letters as a mask for the title.

well you could...with this kit! This month's kit is called "Language of Love".
And it's filled with beautiful gold foil accented Marah Johnson papers by Creative imaginations and stunning vintage valentine papers by Fancy Pants.

And lets not forget about all the extras like an entire pack of round Heidi Swapp chipboard letters, Smooch Spritz & Ranger Sepia accents. I'm totally excited about the Smooch Spritz...you know my fascination with mists! And you can't really tell from the pictures but those white chipboard rectangles are beautifully embossed! Another fun kit to dive into!!

Busy, busy...

Making stuff! I got totally carried away with this kit! Totally.
I made tons! Including this mini 4X4 accordian mini book.

I cut a sheet of black card stock into 3 12X4 strips and folded them accordian style, pieced two of them with a scrap of the third strip and glued. Then I cut scraps of the patterned paper to decorate the pages and made a little "band" out of the die cuts to keep it all together.

Next I used the back packaging page of the Jenni Bowlin calendar and punched out each month with a large circle punch.

And presto, a little year in a glance mini all wrapped up and ready to go.

Then I made a few sets of cards.

A fun birthday set with lots of colors. And made a little band for them as well.

And then a more formal set that would be perfect for a gift.

I love how the fet buttons made the perfect accent for the band.

It was so easy to make a little coordinating set of cards. And fast too. When you get a creative block you should make a sweet little card set for a friend.

Now you know I had to bang out some pages...

Lots of pages. The Black Market papers were my favorite but I had fun with the colorful Fancy Pants papers and die cuts too.

Lots of mist and some sewing and I had tons of great pages to add to my book.

And a couple pages I even mixed the two paper designs.

So I hope you had as much fun with your kit as I did...if you haven't used it all up yet I encourage you to mix it up...and have fun!

A Long Winter's Nap

Reliving the Holidays...

...with my Merry and Bright kit!
For this page I used the left over part of the die cuts sheet in the kit as a mask and sprayed Maya mist to make my back ground. Then I cut a circle out of some of the red patterned paper and sewed a spiral stitch around it to make a flower, painted the edges with the Smooch and sprinkled clear glitter while it was still wet. Gave it great texture!

For the "Bad Santa?" page, I used a scrap of a clear overlay and glued some glass glitter along the edges to look like snow then painted some raw chipboard thickers with the smooch and stuck them on the overlay to create my title.

I also used the same glitter on my other Santa page as snow on top the houses.

Quick little mini

So I made a quick little mini with my Merry & Bright kit...
It's a mini to house all my iphone pics from the holidays. I thought they deserved their own little book.

They are great pics taken in the moment...not great quaility pics but great moments.

I made the cover with a thick clear hambly overlay and bound it with an old post from a post bound book so it fans out like a swatch book. Totally digging this style of mini.

New Year...

So I need a calendar for the new year...
And since I had lots of my Masters Kit left I whipped me one up! It as so easy too. Just print out a calendar page from a publishing program or find one online then create a card for each month to put it on. For this one I did them the size of a CD case and I used the CD case as the holder to display them and keep them in. Really quick and fun project!

How amazing are these papers?! I just love them!
I went crazy with cutting out sections and using them in different ways

Did some misting and ink splattering

And some simple paper piecing. On the one above I used the "cute as a button" saying from the girlish papers and made it more generic for my son's Halloween page.

And the one above I used the "this boy" round sticker as and drew lines to a square paper piece to make a hot air balloon. This may be my favorite page I did with this kit....but who knows...because I'm not done yet!

Check back for a special new year's project and maybe even a card set too!!

Ok, this is just a taste of what I've come up with so for with my kit this month. For some reason I just fell in love with these papers! I'm not much of a them scrapper but this boy them stuff is precious! And I've even been able to adapt the girlie papers to pages for my little guy! I'm so excited about them! The above page was done for the latest Scrapjack challange so I posted it for all to see...the others I'll post soon! Can't wait to share!

Seriously...it's such a festive kit! Look what I've made so far...

Still using my mist from last month!

For the one above, I created a tree template by free hand cutting it out of a piece of cardstock and used it as a stencil to spray the mist over.

The above page is using one of the border stickers as a mask and I misted over it to make the design at the bottom.

Oh yes...this kit is still going strong...I hope to make more with it this week!

Still Misting!

Just a few more pages rockin' the mist action...
On this one I used the white cardstock I used to catch the extra mist from my cards in the previous post. It was so misty and funky that I couldn't bare to throw it away...so this page was born. I used a lot of the left overs like the chipboard from the packaging of the dream street cut outs and since I had run out of "t"s, i used the chipboard sheet the letters were on as a stencil and traced it on the page.

And on this last layout, remember the haunted house mini I did? I used the cover (before I decorated it) as a mask and sprayed the silver mist over it. This gave the cover a cool shimmer and make a rockin' background page for this layout.

I hope you guys like the tips. I've been enjoying sharing my process with you! And thanks for the sweet comments!

Misting up a storm!

SO much fun this kit was!

You KNOW I had to rock that mist! For the cards above, I used the word bubble chipboard as a mask and sprayed the mist over it then removed it and placed the chipboard letters in it. Perfect everyday greating cards.

For the "Remember this" layout I used the chipboard packaging after I punched out the circles as a stencil to make the circles and just misted over it.

Below is a spooky mini book I did by tracing a foam haunted house shape I found at the dollar store onto the patterned paper and cut it out.

I then cut out the same shape from a piece of clear thick overlay and attached them together with eyelets. Also, I cut out a piece of orange paper the same shape to show through the windows and a piece of chipboard as the back of the album. The inner pages are just cut square to reduce in all the fancy cutting. Then used my bind it all to bind it together at the bottom.

For the layout below I used the "friendship" chipboard word and trimmed it to just say "friends" then covered it in the red patterned paper and sanded the edges.

I placed the chipboard letters over the grey cardstock to spell "tea" and misted over it.

Again, for the title below I mised over the chipboard words...

I've barely made dent in my kit and so for and I have a set of cards & 3 layouts!I wanted to make the cards with sort of a patchwork quilt look to them so I cut out squares of the papers and and sewed them to the cards in a quilt like pattern.

More sewing, border punching and misting on these layouts! And I have more to come!

I know, I know...y'all thought I was done. But this kit just kept going and going!
For the page above, I used the bottom strips of all the papers and sewed them on the page to form a unique element. I also left the edges long at the top to add interest as they stick up above the page.

For this one, I used a lot of punches here including a border punch (my new addiction). Speaking of addiction, notice the mist...I used a chipboard piece from my stash as a mask to mist over.

And this one I used an old alpha sticker backing as a mask for misting and bits and pieces of papers I had left and didn't want to waste a tiny bit!

And I made some pretty cool layouts with it...
Still using that Maya mist on most of my pages. For the "Lil Cowboy page I layed one of the sheer journaling cards down (one with the scalloped edge) and misted over it to create a little window area for another picture.

For the "Paved"layout I put the thickers down and misted over them and then removed them to create the title.

The "Paradise" layout below goes with the "Paved" layout....

I need to add my journaling but it's going to be sort of personal since this layout is about the demoliation of my great grandmother's old house. Hince the title "Paved Paradise". I need some time to think about the words I want to capture on these pages.

Then I did a fun layout when I did the "slide" page.

And finally a cheerful little card...

And I've only worked with HALF of the kit so far! Can't wait to work on the other half!

That's what the new Masters kit is called...Under the Big Top.
Those bright, fun colors of the Scenic Route papers combined with the black/white/red combo of the distressed, vintage looking Rusty Pickle papers made me think CIRCUS!

And lets not forget about the slick looking black thickers and those wonderful sheer journaling cards! Such a diverse kit and great for the end of summer!

For the page above, i cut up the sticker sheet that the letter stickers came with and used it as a stencil for the letters and sprayed my Maya mist over it. This was killer fun and you should TOTALLY try it.

And the layout below is just stitchy and delicious. And I used a bit of that vellum from my stash!

More misting and sewing...

This one was so quick and simple but it turned out so graphic. I just started with a white piece of cardstock from my stash and sprayed some charcoal Maya Mist for a rocker grunge look. The rest of the items on the page are all from the kit. Totally fun page to make!

How cute was this kit I ask you?
I was inspired to alter this go round for some reason. Not like altered projects but altered supplies. I painted, I inked, I misted, I masked, I sewed...I basically went nuts. And here are the results.

For the cards above I stamped on some vellum (I know you have some laying around from back when it was "in"), stitched it on the blue patterned paper, punched out some scallops from from the stripe paper and cut some flowers out of another patterned paper and presto! A precious gift! Super quick and easy.

For the "Yummo" layout took two of the big bracket stickers and placed them where I wanted my title to be. Then I sprayed some brown Maya mist over the page and lifted the stickers. This was a great masking technique that I highly recommend! Plus now I have some cool "aged" looking brackets to use on another layout. I also wanted bold yellow letters for this layout. Since the letters in the kit were blue, I took out a yellow paint marker and just painted them...then Stitched them on the layout.

It's amazing what you can do if you go a little technique crazy!

Next is a layout that is currently featured on Scrapjacked.

For this one I used the background of the letter stickers as a mask. I pealed the background off of the sheet and used the entire sticky background part (leaving the letters themselves stuck to the backing of the slick package. Then I stuck the background onto my page and sprayed Maya mist over it and pealed it off. I LOVE this technique...you will see this over and over on my layouts I'm sure! You MUST try it. It's so easy and the results are so graphic and bold!

More sewing love here...

For those of you counting...that is 8 pages I did with this kit!
I'm still going crazy with my teal glimmer mist...but you could use paint too, or any kind of liquid ink really. I also cut up the bling and used it to accent the title which is stamped from a part of the Heidi Swapp corner stamp.

This layout is about missing my grandmother who just passed away this month. I plan on going back and adding some hidden journaling.

Since I broke the needle on my sewing maching on the previous layout, I did some hand stitching and I'm really glad I did. Also used some punches, like the bird punch and the scalloped border punch.

This page has been in my head since I got this kit!
I was just now able to sit down and finish it yesterday.

I folded the flower over and stitched it on the sewing machine.

And I painted the bling and cut the circles in half to make it look more like a scallop. It ended up being a cool embelishment. I'm really loving painting on bling!

But not to this picnic! Here are my pages...

On this page I cut out opening in the center of my patterned paper to form a frame and stitched some regular velumn to the backside for some added dimention and interest. Then I sewed the torn rectangle of patterned paper on top of that. It gave great interest to an otherwise flat layout.

Now for this layout and the next one, I got a little glimmer mist crazy but I love the results! I used the back of the diecut paper as a mask to make the design on the white cardstock.
Same here, I used the back of the diecut "Family" title piece as a mask and sprayed the glimmer mist right over it to make the design on the brown cardstock.
I also only inked the word "memories" on the Heidi Swapp stamp and used it as part of my title. Another way those stamps can go a long way! I even used my bling to the best of it's ability...I cut it up and used it as an eye for my little birdie!

Now these next two pages could be considered a two page layout if I did two page layouts! LOL!

For the title, I didn't have enough of the letters I wanted so I used the letters as a stencil for the word "Baby" and just outlined them then used the actual letters for the word Beach.

And it's hard to tell...but in the little scalloped design I cut out with a border punch, I put the little stones from the bling. I'll have to take a closer up picture for you for my next post. I have some more fun projects planned for this kit so check back later!

Mini Mania!

SO I've been doing more creating making some minis with the Blue Crush kit!
I thought I would use the outer chipboard pieces to make covers for some minis!

For this one, i used vellum and some blue tulle to make a little frosted window out of the "Z" chipboard.

I used a lot of the bits and pieces of papers from the kits as the filler pages and bound it all together with the bind it all.

Perfect quick little minis!

My crush on this "Blue Crush" kit is growing with every layout I finish!

I did a lot of sewing on my pages this month. I love how the Paper Element papers look like white washed canvas...almost like denim. Perfect for layouts of my boys!
And those big 'ol chipboard letters?! Be still my heart!

Here I used a small scrap of the crate paper to tie a little extra color onto the title letter.

And those prima crystals were wonderful...but I found the clear stones kept getting lost on my pages every time I went to place them. So I painted them!

I just dabbed a little paint onto them lightly covering just the top of the stones and presto...they look totally different!

And finally, I did a little banner for my son's room.

I just used the back card stock to make the triangle pendants and then covered the chipboard with the patterned papers and glued them on. Then punched some holes with eyelets and strung some thick ribbon through to hang it. Super quick and super easy!

Second installment of projects with this sweet kit
This time I decided to do some home decor items since I'm doing so many home improvement projects these days. I'm about to start working on our master bedroom and the color palette of the crate papers in this kit are perfect! The his and her frames above were created by just tracing and cutting out a computer generated silhouette and layering it with some of the pattered paper in the kit.

These frames were just plain frames from the dollar store that I adhered the patterned paper to and sanded the edges. I love the simple, clean lines of it!

Well enough blogging...I've got more scrapping to do!

Just a few projects to get your creative juices flowing as I continue to work with my kit.

This was a card that I loved so much when I was finished that I had to display it on my living room wall! I got this look by using my butterfly punch on the colored sections of the patterned paper. You could do it with any punch you like. The repeated image is so graphic!

And a layout...

This paper was just screaming for me to cut out those little sections to add dimention.

Alrighty...my scrap time has been rather short this week but I'll be back soon with more!

Licorice & Jelly Beans! How perfect is this kit? It's loaded...I mean LOADED! I've blown through half of it, making a layout, mini book and a card and still have the entire collection of Crate paper stuff left to play with!

Mini how to...

So I've been a little mini crazy lately. This mini was made using one of the transparency pieces as a templete...
I turned over the flocked polka dot paper and traced the scalloped transparentcy on the back *in the center of the page...we will use the rest of the page later* The carefully cut it out as to not damage the center or the outline.

I did the same for the back cover using the stripe paper. Then I did the same for the filler pages. Just plain pages are in my book because it's going to be a baby book for a friend. then I punched holes on the edge and tied the ribbon to make the spine. You can also score the edge a little on the over to help it open and close. Then you simply embelish the cover with your sticker of choice.

So why did we save the out line? Well here is why....this is the paper I used for the back cover of the mini.

After I cut out the cover, I placed a solid sheet of cardstock behind it and sewed the two together on my sewing machine.

This was a great way to make the most of you kit supplies!

Now I still have the mini in the post bellow...I'll show more on that later. Speaking of more...I got the NEW kit today and it is wonderful! I'll post pics soon as well as the masters pages!

I sure am enjoying this kit.
Above is a set of cards I made from some of the scraps from a page I'm still working on. I removed the heart from the center of the circle stamp and stamped a letter there instead. Since the ribbon didn't match the look I was going for, I just used some scrap ribbon I had laying around.

And here are a couple of pages that went a little sewing crazy on!

On the layout below, I cut up one of the transparency frames and used it on the corners of the page instead.

I didn't want the adhesive to show so I sewed it to attach it to the page...didn't take much convincing to get me to do more sewing on this page!

Ok, so I have a couple more pages in the works on my scrap table and a couple minis too! I'll share as soon as they come together.

Fun Projects!

I have a few fun projects for ya!

Above is a little notebook I made using all the selvege edges of the paper (you know the bottom stip we usually cut off and throw away) that came in the last Masters kit. I saw the idea using the selvage edges of fabric made into quilt squares on flickr the other day and KNEW I had to try this! I just cut them off and staggered them and sewed them up. Great idea for making your own patterned paper. Those strips can be so cool sometimes!

And I was so inspired that I whipped up this little clear wallet.
I used two clear badge holders, turning them where both the open slit was both inside and placed the scalloped ribbon on the spine of the outside and stitched it on my sewing machine. Then I was pretty much done...I just added the rubons on the cover and presto. Done. Perfect to slip your ID and debit card into your cute little mommy's night out handbag and go. This idea could be used in so many ways. I may try it again soon with some of those ideas.

Projects and tips!

Hey there scrappers! Got a couple of things to share with ya!

Here is a little mirror I did with some of the rubons from the January kit.
I've always wanted to do something like this with this little mirror but was afraid of messing the mirror up. So here is a little tip...Since the back of the frame opens and the mirror comes out (like a picture in a picture frame), I simply put a piece of clear transparentcy in front of the mirror and applied the rubon to it. This way not only did I not have to worry about messing the mirror up, but I can reuse my mirror over and over again with different rubons and embelishments as I wish!

Now for a couple of layouts...

On this layout, I wanted to use the sheers as part of my title but they didn't really show up very well on the light colored paper I picked as my background. So I grabbed some stamps and my stazon ink and stamped the back side of the sheer. The effect was pretty cool.

Then I wanted to use the sheers somewhere else on the page to tie it all in and frame out my picture so I used the scalloped edge and cut it out like a corner with my scalloped scissors. A little stitching on the sewing machine and I was done. Super fun and easy!

And one last simple layout I did with some prints that I accidently printed multis of on my printer at home. See, nothing goes to waste! Well that's all for now. I'll be back to check on you!~

Well check out this little card set I whipped up with my November Masters Kit...
Everything was from the November kit except for one sheet of Hambly that I used to cut out the teal frames.
I cut out the flower design from the Basic Grey paper in the kit, added the frames and did some sewing on my sewing machine. Then I made a band to keep them all together by just sewing a zig zag stitch down the middle of a strip of stripped Basic Grey paper, folded it overthe cards to get the size right then adheared a cut out frame to the center. Then to cap it off, I used one of the chipboard letters from the kit and painted it gold with a gold paint pen. This little set was so quick and easy and it turned out so perfect!

So if you are searching for last minute gifts, try digging into your masters kits!

I'll admit, the holidays have me distracted...but I've scrapped...really I have! I've got a new sewing machine. Can you tell? I've been sewing on everything! I'm the worst sewer though. Good thing I like the messy look! LOL!

Well since we are in South Louisiana, winter heat is nothing new to us! Now we have the perfect kit for our warm weather winters! Introducing "Winter Heat", the November kit. This kit is full of wonderful papers by Basic Grey and Black Market papers and complete with a bottle of distress crackle paint to boot! Plus some great extras like chipboard letters and Rouge de Garance brads! I'm drooling just looking at those colors!

This one has hidden journaling. I used the BoBunny stamp to make the lines for the journaling.
And *gasp* ...a double pager! Here I used the stamp as a guide to do some hand stitching. I LOVE how it turned out!

I'm having so much fun with these Heidi Swapp brads! I was inspired to do a blinged out girlie page!

I just added some back toule and the page was born.

And then here I went crazy with my scalloped circle punch...which is now my favorite tool.
I also made a flip up window with the card that come with my flowers so I could have some hidden journaling space. Since I knew I wanted to journal about this but didn't want to clutter the page, this was a perfect solution!
